Riječ je o proširenju, “adventure packu” za kartašku igru The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. Drugo je od šest proširenja u ciklusu Shadows of Mirkwood (Sjene Mrkodola). Sadrži karte 25-49 iz tog ciklusa.
U gornjem porječju Velike rijeke Anduin, sjeverno od Starog gaza leži Stanac-kamen (Carrock). U blizini ove kamene riječne znamenitosti žive Beorninzi, mrgodan, krepak narod koji održavaju straže u dolini. Sad je strašna grupa trolova došla do Stanac-kamena i Grimbeorn Stari nije zadovljan.
