"4) Lack of communication
Stronghold Games are managing this campaign, and we at FryxGames are happy to be left out of it, generally: we have other projects to attend to, and it is amazing how much creative energy can be drained by even a small negative comment on Kickstarter. So we have left the campaign in Stronghold's hands, and trust they have good reasons for every choice they make in that area. For example, we don't think it is strange to cancel the pledge of a backer saying "If I knew this, I never would've pledged for this project", or similar indirect ways of saying "I don't like this project anymore, let me out".
When it comes to being silent, I am amazed at the low levels of patience among backers. Typically, when receiving criticism, the first impulse is to engage and defend yourself. That is usually not the best impulse. Instead, you take a step back, trying to understand the criticism and think hard about whether the criticism is justified, if something can be changed to remove the criticism, or if you're stuck with what you have. In either case, speaking before you have a good, thought-out answer is not good, as it will likely end up spreading misinformation and frustration, as well as take the entire workday. I agree that they could have sprayed a reassuring comment all over the place, saying "Thanks for the feedback, we're discussing this internally and will return with an answer when we've decided what to do". That would have been good, and hopefully they will employ something like that in the future, even though it will likely spark new criticism.
Summary
So what is our take? The photos in the update look way too saturated, the video looks better. But overall, the colors are more realistic than the renderings. Size is good, details are good - as far as we've seen. Communication could be better, from both sides."
