Hi Ivan,

Thanks for your note! Absolutely, you have permission to translate our rulebooks so they can be available for free digital download from the Croatian audience. Will you work from the PDFs, or do you have access to InDesign? If so, I can provide the source files.

Best,
Jamey

Subject: Croatian translations of rules

Hello,

I'm in your Ambassador program and I was a quite passive ambassador in past as I translated some other rules, but now I want to change this.
First, I would like to translate (to the Croatian language) small boardgame Between Two Cities, and next Viticulture & Tuscany (as I own those games). I can't find on your web what is the procedure for translators.

I would also like to ask you for general permission for our other translators to publish on BoardGameGeek.com future translations of your published games. This is our request we send to all publishers:

We are Croatian Tabletop Association "Igranje (Playing)"
(http://igranje.hr), a boardgaming association in Croatia. Our mission is to populate gaming culture in Croatia.
So, for this purposes, we are translating game's rules in the Croatian language.
In translating process we are using templates from original PDFs, extracting them and put with our, previously translated text.
Our job we are doing with FLOSS software (Linux, Inkscape, GIMP, FontForge and Libre Office)

Why are we doing this?
Because the people in Croatia need quality translated rules. Translated from gamers to gamers in this, quality form.
We do this without any payment. We do not sell those translations, we are giving them with purchased games and for free download via our website and from Boardgamegeek site. This is very useful and helping to sell games.
So, my question is: Can we get an official permission for continue doing those translations from you as a Publisher (for present and future translations)? Because we want to be sure that this work is a legal.

Kind regards,
Ivan Kosak,
Croatian Tabletop Association "Igranje"
